I have chosen this simple and elegant ceiling or wall mounted light fixture as your introduction into the utterly fantastic world of Zangra, a Belgian company that manufactures and sources light fixtures, table wares, and kitchen and bath fixtures. If you have any interest in, or need for lighting fixtures, then it is mandatory that you peruse their entire range of porcelain light fixtures.
Zangra works with some of the oldest porcelain factories all over Europe to reproduce old and forgotten molds. This particular wall/ceiling mount pictured top left is made in France. It is offered in both white and black and ships quickly to the US. I have ordered a few light fixtures from them: the shipping is fast, the ordering is straightforward and the customer service team is responsive.
It is important to note, these incredibly high quality lighting fixtures are not UL certified. This means they have not been tested by the Underwriter Laboratory for electrical safety in the US, and therefor a licensed electrician will not typically install them due to liability issues. They are easy enough to wire and install yourself, or if you have a friend in the trade, you could ask for their help.
The hardware store of my dreams would be the first US showroom for the entire Zangra lighting line. Old school, under-the-table payoffs would allow Zangra to smash through the idiotic bureaucracy of certifying light fixtures, and these ceramic friends would be yours to take home and kindly hand off to your local electrician to install.
