My first interaction with this utilitarian wheelbarrow was an enchanted one. It served as my luggage cart at the Tassajara Mountain Zen Center, located deep in California’s Los Padres mountain range. In this beautiful and remote setting, these carts ferried luggage, brush and dirt, kitchen supplies and linens.

Manufactured in Vermont for twenty five years, these little mules were built to haul up to five hundred pounds, as much as ten wheelbarrows! Constructed from rust proof aluminum, they are happy to sleep outside and still serve at a moments notice. The wheels are positioned such that they magically balance any load and allow the cart to move across uneven terrain with far greater stability than a wheelbarrow.

Best yet, even when you have no ambitions to do any work in your yard, you can leave it filled with to-be-potted plants and mulch and have it serve as rustic art installation to vibe out your garden.
