Few things excite me like bringing affordable, German-made, design triumphs to my friends' attention. However, one source of reliably greater excitement is my daily visit by Suki the dog.
My partner and I live next to and share a yard with our dear human friends who are the loving and legal guardians of Suki. Most mornings, Suki comes to our door excitedly to greet us. We let her in, she ricochets around the house with elation and then I capture her with a big hug, rubbing her hind quarters and giving her lots of smooches on her nose. This daily exchange is pure joy.
Our weather in coastal Northern California is often moody, dramatic and beautiful in one way or another and it inspires walking around, which is always more fun with a canine friend. Suki, a poodle–labrador–cocker spaniel mix, is a design object in her own right. So it is no wonder that this hypo-allergenic love-muppet with outstanding temperament prefers being walked with a much-awarded German-made dog lead.
The ease with which the Flexi lead allows dogs to wander, sniff and execute the multitude of required daily doggy investigations without requiring the walker to be interrupted from their desired path is impressive. And then, as soon as a car or another dog approaches, you can lock the lead and then bring the dog closer with minimal effort. When out on a long walk, the lead often just dangles in my forefinger, giving slack without thought; it allows Suki to trot ahead with ease and me to continue strolling and daydreaming.
I have left the lead outside in the rain for days with no consequences on its functionality; on the Flexi website, there are videos of German engineers freezing the lead in a block of ice and dropping it from many stories above. It seems if you owned an Energizer bunny and wanted to take it out for walks, this might be your only option. Considering all that you are getting here for the price, it's safe to say that this product is in the hardware store of both my and Suki the dog's dreams.
